Old Master paintings are unique- they were created long before your ownership and will hopefully outlive us all. Our treatment is just one of many they will undergo during their life. We are honored to be a part of their long history. This responsibility is evident in our custom modern and archival treatments, seamlessly integrated with the historic materials and methods unique to your painting.
Support is Fundamental
We participate in the latest research on structural treatments for wooden panel and canvas paintings. Therefore, we offer the delicate treatments needed to correct issues like panel cracks, cradle separation, canvas tears/losses, and failed canvas supports. Our proven success in executing panel repairs, thread to thread canvas reweaving for tears and inserts, as well as executing historic and modern linings when necessary, ensures your painting is safe for years to come. We also offer our skills for this treatment step to other conservators.
